'04 Cobra SVT Belt Removal
Started the process of changing the belts but have gotten stuck with trying to get access to the auxiliary pulley. Does anyone have information on how to remove the pulley on the drive shaft for the supercharger? Also, what tools are required.
Can't believe Ford made it so difficult to change belts.

The reply from Timspony worked well. I thought I would add a few notes.
We used a Craftsman 14 mm Hex key socket instead of the Metco Hex tool. We had to cut it to a shorter length with an angle grinder to get it to fit without removing the radiator.
We tried starting the breaker bar at a greater horizontal position around 8 O'clock, thinking this would give more torque. The jack almost lifted the car without loosening the pulley. We even used body weight to help increase the torque. Next we lowered the car, set the bar at the 6:30 position and started again. This time it worked.
We did the work while the car was on ramps. We put jackstands under the car to minimize any chance that the car's dropping after the pulley was loose from damaging anything else.
Really appreciate the information available from the Forum.
