I bought some new ford HD upper control arms. M-5500-A to go with my
maximum motorsports control arms.

This is what was in the ford box, I think they are old and used.







No way this stuff is new, right? I think the box was restapled shut as the holes don't match.

The vendor is working with me on this issue.

 

Those upper control arms look like they have been used before.
What vendor sold you those used FRPP upper control arms?

 

I spoke to the vendor and they opened a bunch of boxes, seems they all were that way from storage. These units came that way from ford.

If the car wasn't in pieces I would have exchanged them but it would have taken a week. They wound up taking almost half off the price, so I'll settle for cleaning them up and a little wire brushing.

I've run into this a lot with older cobra parts, I got some powerslot rotors a while back
and one of them was the original heavy style, and one was the new style. Both new, but one was old stock.

 

it looks like if it was the remanufactured stuff autozone sells, but if they took half off the price... wtf.. thats a good deal!!

 

This was purchased from a Ford dealer?? ... Looks like they've been on a shelf for a LONG time...The rubber bushings do look good/new!

looks like the use salt water to store it!! i think they might be expired!! lol but it doesnt look used doesnt look like wear and tear just been sittin wet to dry wet to dry with no rust coating that most all parts come with these days!!

 

$60 for the set I can ignore ugly, you know? hehe
