Default Should I go with the 4.10 gears in my 1997?

Fellas my cobra has 2900 miles and though I really didnt want to alter it, I'm really wanting to get the 4.10 gears. I may only put 500-1000 miles a year on it, and want to keep it pretty close to stock. Will the switch to 4.10's be worth me making the change?

I had the chance to ride in a 99 GT that was stock(engine) and he had 4.10 gears, it was fun and scary as hell. Definite change from stock gears. I would say go for it.

If you do "from a roll" kind of race it will kill your top end speed.
If you are on a track or do a lot of 0-60 it's awesome fun.
If you work and drive a lot of highway miles, it will kill your wallet
Also in 96-98 there can be driveshaft vibration issues with 4.10 sometimes

If we had a 6 speed in our cars it wouldn't be an issue really

Considering you plan on keeping it close to stock which I assume means no forced induction, I would without a doubt do 4.30s especially considering you don't drive it alot.
