Changing coolant in a 04 cobra

Default Changing coolant in a 04 cobra

Hey guys i wanna change the coolant in my cobra and want to know what everybody puts in theres and is there anything i got to watch out for thanks

....I just put a 50/50 mix of Prestone (All Makes), some use Motorcraft...Fill through the cross over tube-the high point!!! ...If you fill through the radiator overflow tank, you will have a air pocket and overheat!

I just did that about a month ago and i hated it because i completely flushed it. I emptied is out of the system and and block. Just look up stepes from the sites. It helped me out alot.

from experience dont flush it...i have seen many times after a flush it moves around alot of junk in your radiotor and ends up clogging it or your thermostat...so i would just drain and refill

isn't it relatively easy to bleed out the air from the system? haven't done the coolant drain/fill yet on mine but can't you park at an incline with the cap open and let it warm up?

Go for it! ....But trust me, much simpler to re-fill through the cross-over tube! ..Then you won't have any worries!
