Default Replacement Muffler 1999 Cobra

I got a 1999 Cobra I am looking to replace the mufflers on. It currently is stock, however both mufflers have holes in the exhaust and don't sound very good. I am looking also get some mufflers that sound better as well.

On American Muscle the only mufflers i found that would work according to the site are straight through mufflers like the m-80 bullet.. I could potentially go with that, however I am a little worried they may be to loud. (if your familiar with those you can comment on those as well) Are there other options for the cobras, or will any muffler for 1999-2004 mustangs work.

I know that exhaust is slightly routed different due to the irs, however I am not sure if that change effects the whole exhaust or just after the muffler.

Thanks for the help.

I would get a full CB exhaust system....Any of the aftermarket systems are really good....I currently have Bassani on 1 Cobra and Dynomax on the other!!! Do a little research on Youtube to find the sound you like!!

Remember, you have an IRS.....so, you'll need an IRS CB!

Yea, however I don't feel like spending 500+. I plan on keeping my car stock, for the most part so I won't really benefit from a cutback. I just want a meaner sound. That's why I would prefer just a muffler.

Jeg's and Summit Racing also sell mufflers only if you want to go that route...

Honestly if you are looking for just a muffler swap I would go with "Corsa"

Stay away from Flowmasters unless you have a loud radio

The drone is awful from Flowmasters.

I have Magnaflows exhaust on my Cobra and love them.
No drone and great exhaust tones

Hell yeah Corsa rules I know for the Corvette market.
Sound great on my Wifes Corvette after putting Corsa on them.

For the Mustangs im not sure but Mustangs sound bad a$$ to begin with.
People want to simulate what a Mustang sounds like , But nothing can ever copy them
