97 Cobra no start, cranks fine
Hello all,
I have a 97 cobra with 135k on it. It had been sitting awhile and needs some attention for sure. I just replaced the alternator. Car ran fine. Then starter took a dump. replaced that and AC compressor. Now car won't start. It started with the bad starter if I grounded it. It cranks very lively but will not fire up. I checked and it does have fuel pressure. I will be replacing the fuel filter as well just in case.
The only thing that I did not put back on was the serpentine belt as I did not have the AC compressor yet. But I would think it should still fire up under battery power. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I like the car and plan on restoring it to like new over time.
The theft light blinks when you get in at first but not while you are cranking it. I thought this was normal. I have also considered bypassing the PATS system like on youtube.
Thanks,
Derek
