there is this weird sound coming from the transmission. Sounds like a bunch of metal wires being all rubbed together and it increases mildly when i press the clutch. The sound is not that loud but you can still hear it pretty good. I was told by the dealer that the previous owner had put a performance clucth, its pretty stiff, don't know if that might cause the sound. Changed the trans fluid but that dind't help, it actually made it a bit louder. how many quarts go in a t45, we put like 3 1/2. a bit more a think.

Throw out bearing, I swear!

 

I had a 2003 GT and at about 14k miles, I started getting the same thing. If it only does it when running, in neutral and at idle....it's gotta be a throw out bearing.

 

yup, it happened to my uncles too. definitely the bearing. whats the deal with that thing always giving out?

 

Dang, dad said the same thing. I thought it was too much or too little trans fluid. How many quarts am i suposed to put? Will any Throw out bearing work with any clutch

 

should i fix this rigth away or can i wait till summer and replace the whole cutch? if i have to do it now, can i just buy any throw out bearing?

 

You can only fill the Trans from the bottom... There is a hole on the trans that says fill. You can only fill it so high. I wouldn't sit on it. Get it fixed..
