Default Timing question

I have a 96 cobra which i just had the bottom end rebuilt on in preparation for upcoming fored induction system but i had the compression lowered to 8.5:1 in stead of the stock 9.85:1 and i have the xcalibrator2 progammer that would allow to adjust the timing +/- 5deg. every 2000 rpm and i am still running premium gas in it so would it be advisable/possible to get a little more out of the engine by playing with the timing and if so can someone suggest a new set of timing #'s for 0-2k rpm, 2-4k rpm and 4-6k rpm that would maybe give me a little more oomph without jeopardising the engine in any way.

Thanks

Sounds like fun and that you are going to do it right for adding more then 6 to 8 psi. Need to know what supercharger you are planning to install though... If you haven't decided on one, I really like the Kenne Bell for the 96 to 98 cobra. I will be getting one of those soon. Check out the website: http://www.kennebell.net/supercharge...angcobra46.htm

I'd call the two of the best. Here are the website's for them.

www.seanhylandmotorsports.com

www.eldperformance.com

Sean Hyland has a great book for sale. It's a great quick ref.
