5th Gen Camaro owners have some competition

If they're indeed 412 at the crank assuming 15% loss that would be 358 whp. If you're feeling generous with 12%, then it jumps to 367 whp. It's about time ford made something that doesn't need FI to compete.

I'll be all over one if they don't jack up the price on them, which they're sure to do. I'll be shocked to see one with options for less than $37-40k, base GTs for mid-low 30s, and V6s for 30k. The 2010s down the road from me are going for $36k loaded (minus navigation) with the 3.73s and track pack. With navigation, they want $38k. There's only a 1500 rebate on them right now too. They need to be more aggressive with their incentives and get those things out off the lot before everyone finds out about this new 5.0 imo.

The 2010 V6 Mustangs are still high 20s around here. They advertise "Starting prices" that are lower, but when you get to the lot its a different story. V6 Maros are every bit of $28-32k round here as well. Its ridiculous, it really is. I haven't searched outside of NC to see what's going on in the rest of the world, but around here they seem to be high. Search zip code 27606 on autotrader for prices and have a look.

Good question. You know more about pricing than I do with your background, but I've never had much luck getting much of a deal on a new car. Used cars have always been easy to get $3-5k knocked off, but every time I head for the door when haggling on a new car, they only come back with maybe $500-1000 off and/or let me walk. They claim they make way less on new cars and that the big mark-up is on the used stuff..... is that true? Any advice you have would be appreciated.
