low 12's and even a possibility of high 11's on a flawless run isn't completely out of the picture with this build... the hot rod cams aren't really helping much however, I would go with another set of boom sticks if you want to see any real gains

as I've said before my friend ran 12.5 @ 109MPH with CAI/OR Xpipe/axleback/4.30's/MT ET streets+skinnies on 15" dishes/suspension

I think he said he launched @ 5000RPM or something nuts like that IIRC.... this was in high 30 degree weather and took him all day to run seeing as he finally said screw it on the fact that if he breaks he breaks and went for it


all depends on the setup and what you wan to risk honestly...

 

5000rpm launch? I hold my breath launching from 2000rpm. lol

 

I used to launch my S197 at 5k, street tires though, and feathering the hell out of the clutch. IMO, the key on street tires is to get the rear end down and keeping it down. Weight transfer.
