Ditto on the torque converter, it's launches pretty good but it weighs so much and the stock stall is about 2000 rpm. Not the best for tire scorching launches. Once torque kicks in, it takes off like a bastard!

I will at least run a cold air intake and 85mm throttle body (max size for stock tune, if anything for throttle response around town)

13.5 for such a fat sofa is pretty damn sweet lol

you're probably pretty limited on modifying your transmission as well. You need to get into the computer to tune for higher fluid pressure during shifts or else you're just going to burn it up.

The stock stall is really 2k? That seems really high for a stock vehicle, but then I don't really know too much about the power curve of these cars. I've got a 2500 in my mustang right now and it can be a PITA sometimes.

The built trans was more like a hopeful dream(without a tuner anyways, yet) than reality.

I think the stall is more like 1k, but if I hold the brake I can keep it steady right at 2k until it begins to break the tires loose.

I don't mind having to wait a year or so to heavily mod, since this is a new car and it's sole purpose is to get around in our heavy snow/winter season. I would still like to be in the low 13's next summer with a few bolt ons. Realistically more like high 13's if that though lol

Most seem to go 12.8'ish with basic bolt ons/tune so I am hopeful.. and those were the older year models without the higher flowing Eagle heads (09+) (340hp vs 370hp).

Thats not how a stall works....lol.

If you can get to 2k then your stall speed is probably more like 2700-2800.

remember he has awd, some of that power is going to the front wheels. I wouldn't be suprised if he only had a 1500 or so stall speed.

Damn.. I wonder how good it'll launch with a 3200 (flash) stall?

Right now, stock it's a 5.5 0-60.. that's full weight, 4650 lbs. (me included).

I am getting a KN cold air intake an 85 mm TB before the torque converter (Heavy winter til mid late April.. no rush)

I am still dead in the water in terms of a real custom tune.. without that, it's 5200 rpm (soft) shifts and no recalibration of the auto trans etc.

*shurgs*

right.....not sure what that has to do with stall speed, I guess he might be able to foot break a little higher than a rwd car.

Heres some food for thought. With the stock stall in my 96 gt rated at roughly 2500 rpms, I could foot break it to about 1800 or so.

Now with a 3800 stall converter I can foot break it a little past 2500 rpms or so.

What your saying is *** backwards. He would NOT be able to footbrake the car HIGHER than his actual stall speed. The only way to achieve full stall speed with an auto is a transbrake.

Regardless, I took the liberty of checking around and the converter in his car has roughly a 2200 stall speed.

Im sure it would be a different car with a 2800-3200 converter in it though.

It's official.

13.3@101mph

1.8/1.9 60 ft.s all day long.

Stock motor/tune, no power mods. Street tires, 3200 high stall torque converter.

4650lbs. (w/driver)

I also ran a Boss 302, twice. I had a two car lead off the line and kept him off til about 85-90mph where the pulled hard and put about a car on me by the end of the race. Both times

He had NO traction!

Thats pretty impressive. The AWD really helps. If we were playing pass time I was only 2/10ths off and 1 MPH.
