Default Sorry...

So i know the majority of you hate these threads, but I have to. What kind of power is an 07 V6 with a performance chip and full cutback exhaust (w/ long tubes) putting out? My friend owns a car with these mods and he tells everyone that he can beat me, i just won't admit it. We've never raced. But everyone who's rode in his car and in mine says that mine is way faster.

Hope this is a joke. 205 stock hp vs 315 stock horse power and by the looks of your sig similar mods. I shouldn't have wasted a re... But yes you should win

Yours should be way faster. Those mods aren't going to give him over 100hp to get to where your car is stock. He should be putting out maybe 200-210 rwhp(my guess) If he does beat you, you may want to consider trading in your Mustang for something more drivable like a Fiat or Smart Car.

10 Four on the trade in! I'd never race a GT or any Mustang V8 with my V6, might as well
race title for title, I wouldn't deserve my V6 anyway.

If your friend says he can beat you, then he obviously doesn't know anything about these Mustangs. If I'm not mistaken, he'd have to supercharge/turbo that V6 to beat you. He won't even stand a chance with only those two mods. He'd only have a chance against older GTs, pre-98 GTs and maybe he'd be able to keep up with stock 99-04 GTs.

I'll just sit here and see if this turns into another V6 vs V8 debate.

Well, Short and sweet....You will whip his A$$ !!
Oh, and by the way...it's not cutback, but Cat-back or Axle-back.
And, we don't have performance chips but use a Flash tuner/programer (i.e. SCT X3).
This will help you correctly talk the lingo with your friend.... GOOD LUCK !!!

I doubt that very seriously. The only way that would happen if the New Edge driver couldn't drive. With a 96-98 GT, he (guy driving the 6er) would probably give him a run for his money..

I have a friend with a slightly modded 96 GT and I beat him every time. And I once raced a New Edge GT when I had the tune and dual exhaust, he beat me mostly due to his better take off. I was right on his tail though. But you're right, it may be a driver's race. That's why I previously stated "maybe" on the other post.
