a couple nights ago my buddy and i were on our way to pick my brother up from work. on the way a newer audi s4 (supercharged) model pulls past us and i hear what sounds like an upgraded exhaust. anyways we pull up at the light, turns green and i start to take off slow so does he but a little more aggressively, so i hit it and so does he. I jump out and it looks like he's falling back, hit 2nd and the rear end breaks lose a bit. shift into 3rd with a nice chirp and i look in my mirror and he's stopped my pull and he's starting to catch up. theres a light up ahead and he pulls about even with my rear tire or end up my door (can't remember). light turns yellow we're coming up fast i slam on the brakes and he keeps going. his brother however pulls up behind me in a lexus rx 300 and asks what kind of power i'm making. i tell him i haven't dynoed it but i said 300-310 at the wheels just as a guestimate. he then proceeds to tell me that his brother wasn't flooring it, which seemed like bull**** to me then goes on to say that his brothers car does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, whereas a stock one does it about a second slower. anybody familiar with upgrades for these cars? thats the first s4 i've run, i was impressed but then again with a 210lb passenger and still n/a i think i held my own. does it sound like he had a tune,intake,pulley?

Oh please who races and doesnt floor it?...........BS. I know a guy with one but his is a little older, it has a small turbo in it. Its not fast.

If he didn't go all out, he might as well of put it in park. Those new S4s are quick, but they ain't that quick, not stock anyway. Not sure what mods do for them, but being an FI car I'd imagine they wake up a good bit.

yeah if he went all out from a dig i know i would've played catch up, tires are **** right now. i break traction at 30-40 in 2nd when i "give it the beans" (top gear). but from the traps i've seen them get stock from a roll i figure i could take one just based on everything else i've run. tune only on youtube i saw put down 357 at the wheels, not sure if they disconnected the front drive shaft to get the true rwhp or what. appreciate all the responses guys.

The s4 is just a four cylinder with a small turbo. The car weighs more than yours and makes just a little less than what you make.

Edit: Nm it depends on what year it is looks like.

Ok did some better research lol. The b8 s4 comes stock with 333hp and curb weight is just over 3800 lbs. He may have been at the power you makebut weighed more. Either way could have been a good race.

^^ yeah a4 is the 4cyl turbo. s4 is a supercharged v6

If he had just a tune he was playing with you, which is certainly likely.

Buddy at work as an S4 with a tune and the thing rips. He gained ~60awhp with the tune.

Even though they have a centri blower, Audi starts bleeding boost at like 4k rpms, so they dont make nearly as much power as they should.

Because it cant be faster than the RS4!
