2009 Eleanor, that car does look damn sexy man. Its worth the little bit of performance loss to have the car look that good. Nice work!
Thank you for the complements and I completely agree that a little bit of performance loss is worth having a good looking car.
Check out my other thread of a 0-90 test in the car. The launch was nothing because the roads were 30 degrees but acceleration is still pretty good!
I sometimes think that the unstrung weight helps me launch harder because it is harder to break traction.

There's actually a lot of truth to that statement. I think thats what is helping a lot of these newer cars with 20s like the SRT-8s and SS achieve good handling and acceleration numbers.

Just watched that vid....man if you launch and drive like that at the track, you will be golden.

Do you think with that acceleration I could hit 12s?

This time of year and the way you drive/the car hooks and accelerates, I honestly think you could. I was trying to compare it to some of my vids, and it looks like that car of your's is moving out pretty good. During the summer, I don't think the DA will allow you to do it.

Thanks for your input!
The track actually opens up in 2 weeks and I'm going to try to go out.
Either way I'm happy with the way my little 281 runs!

I miss my 3V man. I did 4.10s (18" CS wheels), UDPs, Intake/tune, LCAs, mufflers, and a hurst shifter. Best I could do was a 13.0-13.3 at 107-108, but that was in warmer weather so some 50 degree runs would've been much better. Miss that car though. What part of MD are you in?

I'm near Annapolis.
Capitol raceway is only 5 minutes up the road from me.

Gotcha, just wondering cause I go up to MD 1-2 times a month to Easton. Was up there this past Monday, then to Allentown PA. Beautiful country up there.

I don't think you will be able to get into the 12's without a drag radial. I don't think you will be able to launch hard enough on the street tires to get you there. I do think as others have said that lower 13's are very possible! Good luck!!
