You gotta tach her up higher than 6200, Steven. You're still making power at 6500 rpm. I don't know if they just shut it down at 6500 on the dyno or if thats where they set your rev limiter, but if you can go a little past 6500, then I would definitely do it. If you have a 6800 rev limiter, then you are losing TONS of momentum shifting at 62000. If not, get as close to 6500 as you can. If you're shifting at 6200 in every gear on a 6500 limit, thats 300 RPM of usable power lost in 3 gear changes. It adds up, especially when you factor the RPM drop between gears, etc.

I'm sticking to my theory that the car is OK. Better air, better 60s, higher RPM shifts will produce low 12s at 114-115 mph (or better).

Try again this Sunday?

Oh yeah for sure take that thing higher. it should go past 6500 even since the power isn't even falling off yet. When you take your car in for that check up I'd have them extend the rev limit to 67/6800 and aim for shifting at 66/6700.

Appreciate the input friend. I need to take it to the shop next Tuesday anyway to at least make my gas pedal a little more sensitive, I have too much lag between the gas pedal and the time the car freaking moves. It gets really hard trying to keep the car at a certain RPM before launching it. I also need to tell them to set the rev limiter a bit higher or ask them what RPM its set to.

As far as going this Sunday, i am gonna see how my Saturday turns out :P . I'll be talking to Malloy.

Absolutely man, glad to help!

I know all about the throttle response thing, my 09 used to do the same thing. One of the downfalls of an electronic throttle.
