I was told that there was a stand alone engine management system on the market that was an upgrade from the Accel Gen 7 Dfi called the Accel Gen 8 DFI.I was told this line never made it to production. Can anyone fill me in whether this is true or not. Thanks.-Daryl

 

Do you have a project in the works that Gen 7 would not be enough for?

 

It's just that someone tried to sell me an Accel Gen 8 installed and tuned on a dyno for $8000. Said that it would be the perfect stand alone for my car because we have a shortage of good Dyno tuners up here.

 

maybe this is true.

 

I dont know what your plans are for your car, but we have tuned much wilder combos than yours on the stock PCM....it is more than capable of handling pretty much anything you can throw at it.
