Default Trinity Trouble Code Question

This is probably a dumb question, but I haven't seen it asked anywhere: will my Trinity show a trouble code if I have a bad coil pack or fried spark plug? One or both? Or anything in that path?

I know any monitoring/diagnostic device should, but nothing has popped up in that regard during this whole troubleshooting the ridiculous popping noise my exhaust is making.

Once I get my hands on a plug removal tool this weekend, I am going to pull the plugs and check them. However, at least asking this will sorta give me temporary reprieve. Thanks!

Well, you'd ideally get a CEL if there was a code, but even if it did not trigger a CEL, if you read the codes with the Trinity, and it says there are none, well,e are none

Mike, I get what you are saying. I was testing my coil packs Friday night to see if they all throw a code...and they all do when removed. However, the one that I suspect might be having issues was intermittently throwing codes even when re-installed.

Anyway, thanks.
