SCT Busted by EPA & DOJ

"Reputable" companies like that in the aftermarket will eventually destroy the aftermarket for all of us the more the EPA looks into all of them. I've always been of the opinion that the automaker tunes the car to the limit of the law with just a little left on the plate for margin of error. Trying to get that last 20 HP often crosses the line and it is just not worth it for street driven vehicles. If you're racing, that's one thing, but street driven is entirely different.

Well, there's only so much liability the company should have IMO. The fact of the fact of the matter is that people know that when they put on Off road exhaust you will end up with a CEL due to the O2 sensor not being available. They should go after the manufacturers for the O2 eliminators too if that;s the way the EPA and DOJ want to operate. There is plenty of tuning capability in a car without messing with the emissions stuff.
