Hi, I am in the market to grab a tune but I am unsure on weather or not it would void my warranty. I bought the car in April, and I ended up adding on the extended warranty and was wondering if anyone knew anything on that

 

You will get a lot of different answers on this. A tune will void your warranty unless it is one by Ford Racing installed by your dealer. Ford racing has aftermarket accessories approved by Ford. Don't believe anyone who claims you can add a tune and then uninstall it and download your original tune when you go in for warranty work because its a computer and Ford can trace anything done to it.

 

Yes, a tune will "void the warranty" for many things if Ford determines that the tune caused the problem. If your engine blows up you can expect that they will look at the tune. If you radio goes out, it will be covered despite the tune.
