Default Turn signal help...

Just thought I'd drop a line in here and ask around. My turn signals, both left and right, only work if I hold them in a specific spot (between the off and on position of both directions). Now I bought a new flasher, and that didnt work. Before I bought my car, the owner had been in a car accident.. well actually he hit a pedestrian.. cracked the hood, and shattered the windshield. But when it came into my possesion he had replaced the windshield, and we replaced the hood (which he covered with a giant sticker) ANYWAY.... I dont know the extent of the damage under the hood.. other than some cracked plastic that doesnt look to mean much... but could there be other faulty fuses, circuits or something? Any advice or expirence would be alot of help, save me money on a mechanic.

I don't know too much about mustangs but it sounds like it's your turn signal switch. You might want to have a shop look at it.

i'm guessing he slammed into the turn signal lever when he hit the guy, those switches are pretty expensive too because its like a 5 way switch. had to replace one in another car, not a mustang, good luck
