Have you ever considered a GTP (grand prix)? Will stomp the **** out of both a 6 stang and a 6 camaro, and is also easyer to mod. A smaller pully and airbox and they can be running in the high 13s.

Plus, I hate to say it, they ride nicer and are more comfortable by far than both cars. Also, there is way more room, and you can acutally fit 4 people in them. Not to mention the trunk. Buddy has a 15 in there and still has more trunk room than mine empty.

The T-Birds,Lincolns,Mustangs,Crown Vics,Marquis all had the option of the H.O motor.

Go with a stang man i cant belive im hearing people say get a crapmaro! Its insane.

Get the stang you wont be sorry even if its a V6 you can still look better than the camaro.

That is, if you don't mind the mad crazy torque steer that comse from 300 PLUS ft lbs of torque in a FWD V6 car.

I havent noticed anything from his car. 280 ft/lb is stock for these cars, absolutly NO torque steer.

I came very close to buying a GTP. Sit in one/drive one. I love my GT, but that car is just nicer overall. The interior is awsome (as long as you get leather). All of the options, plus power sunroof.

Stock vs stock, if we went from a dead stop there wasnt any comparason. However if we got rolling like 30 mph and punched it, I would pull away only slowly, untill about 100 or so, when that 5 speed really took over . For as big and heavy as it is, and for being a v6 (albit a supercharged one) its pretty impressive.

Put it this way: I have drivin both a V6 mustang and a GTP. It would be a cold day in hell before I choose a 6 stang over a GTP. If the V8 wasnt an option, I would be sitting in a GM.

i'm a chevy guy all teh way, but drive a stang. i've heard the camaro's are hard to work on, but if u like challenges. ya possibilty the camaro is slower cause its heavier then a stang.personally if u want looks, newer camaro's i don't like. don't listen to people that say for your first car u shouldn't have a rwd car, ya durin the first winter its pretty interesting at times but it cool, my first car and only car i have is my 88 stang. i've made mistakes durint eh winter but nothin big, plus your 18 and should know how to drive decent and should know when and when not to goof off in a car.

Yeah I consider myself very responsible. I dont do mucht illegal street racing I stick to the track. I can drive stick better than most people I know. Im still trying to convince my parents into lettin me get the v8 but insurance is going to be a dagger through the heart.
