do they make a radio install kit for a 2000, ive looked around but cant find one?

yeah they do you can find them at walmart or bestbuy. i think it is universal across all ford cars after a certain year

do you have the mach sound system? you MAY need a different adapter than the universal one. i say may because i have the mach system in my 99, and i had to get the special adapter to bypass the factory amps (pain in the butt). but my friends mustang didnt need the special one, i guess it is just one of those quirks. if you check behind your stock deck and you have a long, flat grey plug then you just need the universal. (best buy has both adapters FYI) hope this helps!
