i was watching myth busters a liitle while ago and they did a test between two of the same cars at the same weight. one car had ac on while the other had it off with the windows down. they both started doing laps at the track and ironically the car without ac ran out of gas first.(both cars started with a full tank of gas and went the same speed the entire time). so I think this proves that whil the ac might rob a little power it doesn't affect fuel milage

i know someone who got a smaller belt and switches them while at the track. If you do this you can cruise with the ac and race without it.(although i live in florida and it gets hotter than hell here so we kinda need ac in the summer)
