I have a 1993 4 cylinder mustang. will the stock computer in the car accept hop ups just as the 93 v-8's do? if so can you put the turbo set up off of a 84 on the 93 motor with slight modifications and the proper plumbing?

The factory computer will not compensate for boost. Youd need to swap the 84 computer in, and the 84 harness in, unless you want to hassle with keeping the distributorless system.

i have a factory computer and it compensates, but you'll need at least an upgraded fuel pump and a 5.0 maf calibrated for bigger injectors (i think mine are 36#). i don't have an adjustable regulator so i don't think anything is "tuned" really, but my car did come with this thing called "the air adjuster" which reads maf voltage and lets you adjust fuel mixture, but ive never used it and its not even hooked up. of course that doesn't mean it's easy to turbo the motor, i wouldn't run a dual plug motor with turbo and not have forged pistons, cause with our even higher compression, it's just a recipe for disaster. not to mention you're going to have to run your own oil line with a T connector on the pressure sensor on the back of the intake side of the head and make an oil return line that drains above the oil level in the pan or else it'll be bad news. i also think it would be wise to run a 2.3 turbo o2 sensor but i'm not positive. i worry about having to replace mine because if i get the wrong one, it either might not work or my motor will lean out like a ****. dual plug turbos are not exactly the easiest thing to jump into, if you do one, make sure you know what you're getting into.
