hey all. something weird has been happening. when i go to start my car after maybe a day or two, my car kinda like coughs and shakes and chugs before cranking on. it will like start but sometimes in the middle of starting, it wont start. i have to turn the keys again and then it wil start up fine. does anyone know whats causing this big cough hiccup thing? i talked to my parents and they said it could either be the battery or the starter, but the battery is pretty new, i only got it in october so im thinkin it could be the starter...does anyone else have any input as to whats going on? help is apppreciated.

 

my friends truck was doing the same thing and his problem was his Coolant Temp Sensor .... dont know if its it or not on your but it was it on his.... be cause like the same thing was going on his truck did the same as yours and once it warmed up a little it ran fine

 

well yea after it starts it runs fine. however, when the car is warming up, and lets say i brake, the car will kinda vibrate suddenly. idk if i ever noticed that before but that got me thinking i could have an electrical problem with my alternator or something. its weird though because it only does the vibrate thing for like 2 secs and then after that everything runs perfectly.

 

yeah same with my car. It'll start up with a couple clanks then it will start up fine. if i turn it off for like an hour and start it up it will start fine. This problem only happens if the car is off for the night. I think it could be fuel injectors or need or new spark plugs but i dont know

 

my car does the same and i know it has something to do with my intake. changes so much when i take off the maf sensor.
wat yall might need is to reset the computer.
