Ive looked at other forums but couldnt find what i wandering. im thinkin bout getting a shift kit but I was jus wanderin if its bad for the tranny in any way. do u shift jus like a standerd, as in u jus push the shifter up into each gear of course w/out a clutch. any thing else u could tell me about them would be great. r they simple to install. would i have to get a tourqe converter if i got the shift kit.

From what Ive heard, its neither bad or great. It doesnt hurt the tranny at all and it makes performance alot better, including harder shifts. I think its worth the money with an automatic.

 

you dont have to shift through the gears. you still let the trany do it but like 99BlackV6 said, they are harder shifts.

 

you could get a trans-go with manual valve bodies, which will turn your auto into a clutchless manual, or you could also just get a diablo tuner and adjust shift points, and firmness as well as correct for gears and tune the car as well
