Plug socket, socket wrench and an extension. A plug socket attached to a universal joint helps on both side.
And just wait til you do the passenger side..those are the really fun ones.[:@]

I just replaced the spark plugs on my 2000 with bosch platinum 2's an so far so good! i actually noticed a little difference in acceleration. It took me less than 30 mins to do it an all i had was a ratchet, 5/8 spark plug socket (which is just a deep well socket with a piece of rubber in it to hold the plug!) an a 2" extention. i have heard that the bosch platinum 4's will burn the top of your piston but this is just hear-say i never tried them...probably because someone told me this an implanted this thought in my head! That is the biggest problem with forums! 95% of the time you get feedback from good people who know what they are talkin about an the other 5% just feel that they have read everything there is to know about mustangs an every aftermarket part that will fit them! so in return you you get mis-information!

There are only 2 sizes of automotive plug sockets. Ours is 5/8". GET THE PLUG SOCKET. Don't try it with a deep socket.
