thanks for all the feedback. if you guys really think there is no difference, i think i might as well go with the straight shot seeing as how the installation is easier and i have no experience at all. just wonderin about installation cus the k&n straight shot(http://www.kandn.com/instructions/57-2532.pdf) comes with some really detailed instructions and i want to ask if the mac one from autobadges comes with good directions as well. thanks for the help and sorry to be such a noooob.

There's one thing that's not mentioned in the K&N instructions, and I'm not sure aboot it in the MAC instructions. When you take the MAF out of the old setup to put in the new, there is a metal screen that will fall out. Toss it.

It's a restrictor. And you don't want/need it when you install a CAI. It defeats the whole purpose of a CAI. To allow the free flow of air into your engine.

i saved all the parts juss in case, cuz im still under warranty, juss in case they try to pin something on my becuase of the CAI

Good idea. I did the same thing.

EDIT
I shoulda said to toss the screen in the box..NOT throw it away..
