Default flywheel

i talked to a mechanic buddy of mine about my flywheel. he said that once we drop the tranny and take of the clutch and pressure plate to look for cracks in the flywheel. if i had the funds i would like to buy a new flywheel. does anyone know a website besides mustangtuning.com which sells a spec flywheel for about 274 bones or less.he said that if there wasnt any than i shouldnt have to worry about getting the flywheel resurfaced, but he said that if cracks were noticable that it would have to come off and get resurfaced for about 90 bucks. is this guy telling the truth. hes been workin on mustangs for a long time and he has never steered me wrong before.

thank you
david

If the flywheel is cracked...REPLACE. We used to get reman flywheels for around $80.00 all the time from parts houses..
