my a/c didnt work so i took it to lilliston ford and they told me 400$ which i hated already but ok its not that bad. then today they call my dad and tel him that they need sumthing else and its goin to now cost 800$. i told my dad **** it ill just get an a/c delete kit. him and my mom start to flip saying they dont want me to have a half *** car and i couldnt survive without air. so there goes the posi-trac, gears, pullys, and tuner. it really sucks and what in the hell could cost 800 besides getting a new a/c?

Might have needed an evap core, reciever/dryer, condensor..Sounds like the first thing they quoted was for a recharge. If so, the system may have had a leak. If either the condensor or evaporator core was bad, it is HIGHLY recommended to replace the reciever/dryer and orifice tube. Most shops won't guarantee a replaced evap core or condensor without replacing the reciever/dryer and orifice tube as well.
