what is the most boost you could have on stock v6 internals and be completely safe 7, 9, 11?

well, what kind of f/i are we talking about? SC? turbo? id say if you dont want to upgrade your fuel system or anything in your engine, 4 psi would be a good safe bet. 9 or 11 psi can be achieved on a stock motor, but it wont last very long. you could easily just get forged internals and be set for boosting with 11psi on a procharger. hope that helps.

 

with 9 psi about how long will my engine last it is a 99 and has 49k?

 

it'll last as long as you want if you don't drive like an idiot from every stop light.it could last 50 miles, or 50,000 miles. it depends on how you take care of it.

 

x2, 11 psi, unless i was planning on doing a rebuild i would run boost out the ***, like justin at VMP is running 17 psi through a stock junkyard 3.8
