I just bought a 1995 v6 Mustang and the speedometer and odometer occasionally doesn't work. I was advised, from someone who my friends trust, that there is no speedo cable so this must be an electrical problem. Does anyone have advise on where I can get some info on how to track this problem down?

pull the cluster out and check the wires and connectors on the back...but more likely it's a loose connection at the speed sensor on the tranny. i've seen more than a few cars with wires where the insulation just seemed to shrink back and the wire touch every so often. when they do, the speedo/odo quit. they are both run by the same signal. your cruise may also act funny if it's on when the problem happens.
