you can't get much power out of any pre-05 stang without F/I really. the 05+ respond very well to boltons though.
Yep yep. Except for the 32 valve NA V8s. Luckily for this guy, the Essex was ripped off from the GM 3800 used in the turbo Regals of the '80s. Literally built for F/I. And to the folk who are wondering, the 3.9L Essex is a 3.8 with a slightly different stroke that gives it 236ci instead of 232, but Ford just rounded to 3.9L. And in the long run, 40th anni. V6s with the 3.9L will actually be worth something, while the 3.8s are just gonna be V6 mustangs.

ORIGINAL: 02 Stang

2002-2004 - 193 HP, 225 torque
1999 - 2001 - 190 HP, 220 Torque

Not a noticeable difference, your call. You can pick up a 99 - 02 for cheap and do basically the same mods as you would to an 04, except you start with a 4,000 - 6,000 advantage.
04s have different computers regardless of 3.8 or 3.9, i would look for anything but an 04
