Default A/C

I've made a few posts within the month about the A/C making a clicking sound, with no solution yet found. I am trying to see if there is a CHEAP way to get the A/C fixed without having to replace the whole unit ... Today my A/C finally crapped out AFTER SCHOOL! The car had been sitting in 100 degree heat for 8 hours. Yea, that was NOT a good experience. I got home sweating my ***** off. Went to work, the car sat in about 85 degree weather at night with ALOT of humidity. Got in it, rolled the windows down, began sweating lmao...

This is going to get REALLY annoying REALLY soon. Especially with Wingsday coming up and work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday from 5 - 12. Someone please help me get this figured out soon so I don't have to send it to Ford's service department!

The sound can best be described as a "Clicking". Today when I started the A/C the clicking got ALOT faster and finally it just sounds like things are rattling or sparking or rubbing against something ... I can't put my finger on it for 100%, but I do know I got up under the passenger side dash and heard the clicking magnified. Perhaps it is in that intake? Maybe something got stuck in it??? One time a receipt from Best Buy got stuck in there and made a clicking sound ... Or would I just be better off sending it to ford?

HELP!

If you havee a local college that has an auto program, try them. The students are almost always closely supervised by a faculty member, and they are always a lot cheaper than shope and dealers.

Well I turned my A.C on today after school ... it worked, BUT there was a REALLY fast ticking sound ... the higher I put the air the louder and faster the tick was.

I can't think of any automotive colleges around here ...

Something could be caught in the blower motor blade causing it to make the noise. Glad it's working for you though. Just get ready because it will quit again.
