My friend recommened that one of the first upgrades I make to my Stang is changing the computer. He said something about Venom computers? What do you guys think?

Also I have another question. What exactly do the terms single port and split-port mean? Thanks

 

What year is your Stang. There may be better solutions instead of replacing the computer.
As for the split port/ single port...pre 99's had the single port intake. They only put out 150 CRANK HP. 99-04's went to the split port design, and they put out 190-193 CRANK HP.

Yes, see http://www.rpm-mustangs.com/ they have everything you need to convert your intake over. However they don't sell the new air intake that goes to the fenderwell for split ports so just head on over to http://www.autobadges.com/ and pick up the cold air intake for 99+ stangs. Or you could just click on my sig and go there right now and pick up one for your 98.
