intake setup
please allow me to express my sincere appreciation to all of the "more" experienced and knowledgable in the world of mustang for all their help. i'm sure the rest of us are very much grateful and would like to say, "Thank You Very Much!"

having said that, i need your help regarding my CAI. i i recently ordered a BOMZ airfilter and it came with the adapter, so i connected it straight to the maf and discarded the U-pipe that went through the fenderwell. is it better to have the intake in the fenderwell or should i stick to the shorter pipe?
thanks!

yes its better in the fender wall as the air in there is much cooler and more dense as having it on the side of the engine is going to mainly be sucking up hot air from the engine. it takes a while to fit & a bitch to remove to clean the filter but well worth it. thats what i think anyway. see what the others say.
i depends what you want.. theres pros & cons to both...
in the short ram cold air intake (not in fender) gives you more hp in the low rpms due to the shorter distance from filter to intake but due to being in the engine bay the hotter the air gets the less hp you get.. so the longer you drive the less hp you get..
now with the one that goes in the fender you get less hp in the low rpms but more in the higher rpms.. due to a longer distance from filter to intake... but you get alot cooler air then the short ram does because its completely isolated...
i have the BBK cold air intake that goes in fender... its a bitch to put in but i think its overall better.

Yes keep it in the fenderwell as it's easier on the engine in the long run. Oh, ram air intakes DO NOT offer more hp on stock to even mildly moded engines and if you don't have a heat sheild you may even hurt hp.
