Remote starters are awesome. get one if you want one, I wish I had one winters here are cold then I could go stick my head out the front door and start it before I leave and not have to freeze my *** off for ten-fifteen minutes while the heater starts to work.

Remote starters are pretty cool but spend the money on something else. Not a good 1st mod.

If it's stick, just make sure you park it in neutral as opposed to first, and use the parking brake.

And if you live in Texas, I don't see needing a remote starter. They're cool on cold winter days, but, correct me if I'm wrong, it doesn't get too cold in Texas, right?

Oh, i've already got my exhaust set up to be put on in a week or two here, so it won't be my first, or prolly second mod, but it's a thought. I think they're pretty nifty myself, and actually, it does get decently cold in Texas during the deep winter. Plus.. it's just dang nifty to think up someone asking what my exhaust sounds like, or which 'stang is mine, then leaning over the barracks' balcony railing, and hitting a button to hear it come to life.

My friend has one - Kind of pointless, you still need to turn the car off to start it again.

Then again, I live in New Orleans --- I would LOVE for my car to be able to start while I am getting dressed and cool down ... 90 - 100 degree days suck!

I lived in Washington State, and went to Leonard Wood for basic training/AIT. I know cold. =) But most of it is for the 100+ days during the summer (That's why i'm not in a big rush to get the starter just now). It'll save my breath from going back into my face if the AC's been blowing for awhile, plus I was thinking of adding leather later on this year.
