See, i had a feeling you werent asking for money for taking care of them, that makes more sense, so now i know your not selfish, greedy or any of the above, BUT that just goes to show you deserve the car even more.
It's not even that I deserve it, it's the fact that my dad took it from me. I understand if he had a legit reason, but to flip out and take it one day while leaving ME to get my old car back? I find that completely inexcusable. I know that he didn't know, which I understand ... but he didn't have a problem with it until he got home on the 3rd day of having the car. I am guessing his co-workers told him somethign to **** him off. My mom keeps on telling me every day 'Don't talk to your dad, we will get you a newER car when you graduate'. That is fine with me. ****, I'll take a '99 GT if I have to ... I just want a V8, that's all I know. I'm sorry about flipping out like that on you guys ... Kinda just struck a nerve. Shouldn't have done that.

I'm willing to wait until May, as I was before ... But since my mom decided to get it at that point in time I sure as **** wasn't going to say no. We will see how it works out. Thanks to everyone for their VALID opinions, and I don't really appreciate the ones that called me a spoiled brat, cry baby, and greedy kid... No hard feelings though.

Yeah, im not saying your greedy, and your not a brat or ne thing, its just that if my Grandparents were in that position (and they maybe, my grandpa is having problems with his heart and my grandma has cancer) but i wouldnt take money for taking care of them i love them too much to get paid to watch them. And i too had to pay for my ****... not 10,000 dollars, but i think that you paying for it shows responsibility and that if anything you deserve the car for showing that responsibility in watching your Gparents and what not, not you deserve money for it. But what ever you decide to do i hope it all works out in the end, and im sure it will. If anything make your responsibility be known to your dad, explain to him why you feel like you deserve the car and if he doesnt care then that is really messed up.

PS, my GF drives me everywhere in her little blue jetta kuz my car is down and out for the time being.
The $18,000 is because I got hit in the head by a Winn-Dixie employee with a drink cart when I was 9 or 10. My mom spent the money and 'owes' me $18,000 legally. I told her it is fine, she needed the money to support my grandparents, and she said that she was paying me back when we received the checks.
there was a kid that went to my high school that was in a car accident when he was really little and got like 30k when he turned 18. he bought a new rx8 w/ it. why wasnt i hit by a car or cart or something when i was little?

I wake up with Migraines, and I have them randomly every now and then which I have to take medicine for. I also have a syst in my nasal cavity.

hopefully they give your car back without having to pay for stuff, that would be sweet, but if you do have to pay for it, atleast its fixed right.

True. No big deal to me either way, my mom has agreed to pay for it if she has to (Ray said it'll be under $200) since she was the one that wanted to get the car so spur of the moment.
