Default Stoplight Weird Issues

Hope you guys can help me out. Two weeks ago while in the freeway my cruise control stop working when I got home I notice that my brake light don’t work, so the next day I check the whole thing fuse, bulb, stoplight switch, everything check out fine there is current running towards the switch but still stoplight wont work. So I decided to check the wiring so remove the battery spray contact cleaner on all contact replace the battery and the stoplight works again. After a week I notice that stoplight don’t work again[:@].

Check the whole system again and still everything looks ok but still no stoplight. Remembering the last time I remove the battery waited about 2 hours replace it and without touching anything else the stoplight is back. It worked for about a week and its gone again did the thing with the battery and the stoplight is back. Can any of you guys help me out in what is causing my stoplight from not working.

Stoplight/brakelight Relay... Not sure of where they are on the Mustangs but if you're getting power to the switch and nothing to the lights, I'm guessing the relay as it acts as the on/off switch for the relay.

Edit: if it's like most cars it will mounted in the trunk behind the carpeted panel where the Fuel cutoff switch is on the drivers side.

check the recall lists for that particular relay or something that is causing the light to go out like another electrical problem

[sm=WTFsgign.gif] does an e-brake have to do with anything? Maybe for the 'brake' light on the dash, but not for his brake lights on the back of the car.

The relay is probably in the box..but I've never looked for it...anyone else want to take a stab or know where the relay is for the brake lights? You could always call the parts deparment at the dealer and ask them. Have them look it up first, then ask where it shows it to be located. Their parts screens usually show a diagram/parts explosion of everything including location.
