Default RE: header question

yea ive heard that before(i mean the ugly part lol, but i like it). i love muscle cars. and i love mustangs. the reason i got an srt4 is because i wanted something fast that not too many people had and not too many people knew how fast they were. my car is pretty much stock so i know i would get beat by a newer v8, or an older modded one, that knew what they were doing. i respect other car guys no matter what they drive as long as they arent idiots like this kid with the v6 stang.

i ran a 13.9@102 stock so i think it would be pretty competitive even against v8s. but thats y i bought it. before i bought my srt4 i was actually looking at a 97 camaro z 28. i dont want u to think that im one of those ricers thats against v8s and thinks that his 4 cylinder is the fastest car in the world. i have common sense and i know enough about cars to know better.

thanks again for all the answers.

i'd rather have an SRT-4 than a Z28 actually...i HATE neons but i hate GM more!...just race him and woop his a$$...i've seen some pretty bada$$ SRT-4s actually that make me forget their roots...there are two around here that are pretty modded...one is white and the other is black...they're in a club or something...both have the spoiler deleted and CF hoods and eye-lids...not done up ricey at all...i'd recommend the spoiler delete to any SRT-4 owner...i see a lot of them with the spoilers off...looks a LOT better and even more discrete...those are the ones i'm most afraid of though lol

Yea they are quick, there are a bunch of them down here in the Ft.hood, texas area. a friend of mine from houston has a black one that some rich kid built and and didnt know what he was doing and he has had nothing but problems with it. everyone has there own opinion on what cars are the best but id still own my good ol stang over anything anyday and as you can see in my avatar its in working order lol (well not running yet). Its my baby and ive had it for the last 4 years. i still stick with the theory give a mustang and a ricer the same amount of money and the stang would win. advantage of a v8. oh and F^@k GM and Honda!! I wonder why the stang would win......hmm............ maybe it could be that the stang owner is more likly to add in performance mods and the ricer will..........well you already know the answer to that one.lol

we all know that ricers spend more on appearance mods...but i dont think that spending money on appearance mods constitutes the title of "ricer"...as clifbrohn has figured out there is no point throwing the same amount of money into performance mods on a 6er as you would a GT or Cobra because the return gain is never going to be the same as a V8 and it will never sound like a V8...therefore i would rather make my car look nice until i can afford an engine swap or a new car

what constitutes the term "ricer" is the taste of the appearance mods done and their ignorance when it comes to modifying ANY part of their car...not just appearance or performance

ricers just have a look when it comes to their car. its not exactly explainable i dont think but its there.i guess you can say when someone looks fast and flashy and have nothing to show? thats what most are about anyway right all show no go.while us stangers mostly prefer go before show. because in the end the go is the show seriouly though some of these guys just look at a mag, point at something, and say i want that without even knowing what its for or if its right for them. all there cars pretty much sound alike am i right? wait..you hear that?...... i think i hear someone's weedeater getting pissed off outside again....

yea i would race this doomas but hes in florida and im in new jersey. its just not worth the trip lol.

i bought my srt4 because it reminded me of the old school muscle cars. dodge took their small car and put a powerful engine in it, just like the old muscle cars. it goes great in a straight line but its a little slower in the twisties, just like the old muscle cars. and its the most awesome sounding 4 cylinder ive ever heard(not like all those hondas with the coffee can mufflers). i know u guys may not see it as a muscle car or agree but thats ok. at one time i thought id never own anything but a v8 cuz i had a 1978 trans am with the 400 motor in it and i loved that car. but it was too old and needed too much work and i needed a reliable commuter that wouldnt kill me on gas like that thing(8mpg lol).

and jthorn's comment "Damn, I knew srts were quick, but I didn't know they were that quick." is the #1 reason i bought it. i love pulling up next to guys that dont know what it is and think that theyre gonna beat it and then i blow their doors off. this is y i dont mind that its a neon. thats exactly what i want people to think. its just a neon[sm=icon_sneaky.gif]

and yea i was thinking about dewinging the bug eyed monster myself. makes it a little more of a sleeper cuz then it really looks like a regular neon to the untrained eye. prolly will do that soon.

welcome to the forums man. it sucks that you cant race the guy. it would be great for someone to put him in his place. any stock V6er guys live in florida? i think it would be funny if a stock stag beat his "modded" stang
