Default lifespan

I was just wondering, Do modifications (exhaust, headers, intake, cam, heads, gears) effect the lifespan of your car? I.E. do mods cause the car to have more problems in the future?

anything that puts more stress on your engine will cause it's lifespan to shorten. like i.e. throwing on a supercharger. think of it as a guy taking steroids, sure he'll be all badass for the few years that he takes it, but it's doubtful he'll make it to 70. but i can't see bolt-on's, especially your basic bolt ons like cai, exhaust, pulleys shortening your lifespan, as they help the engine breath better. if i am wrong, someone correct me.

that sounds right. anything that makes the engine work harder will shorten the lifespan. so adding weight to the car, supercharger, etc.
