This means the displacement of our engines is 3.8 liters.
It has to do with the bore and stroke size of your piston and how much air it takes in when they turn and go from top to botton.
When the six pistons turn they in total inhale 3.8l of air.

Yeah the liters of your engine has something to do with it. The dispaclement gives an indication of how much power that given power can produce and so a 4.3l will be able to produce more power than our 3.8l but his weight pays a big factor.

And what year is his S-10 and what size engine. I dont think it has 4.3l. I'm pretty sure they only had around 2.2l-2.3l but I could be wrong.

If its a 2000 Chevy S-10, your friend is ****ing bull****ting you.
They come with an 2.2l Inline-4 and only produce about 120hp/130trq. You WILL rape him if you race.

If all else fails, I'll race him for pinks. I could use a good truck.[8D]

3.8L also equates into 232 cubic inches.
haha, hey hotcar you should put down a nice sum of $$ green $$ if your friend acts like a douche bragging about his truck.
and i did a little more research and there is a 4l engine which produces about 180hp but you should still be able to take him no problem.

You auto or manual.

A lot of the 2000 models have the 4.3, but they're still weak. The stang should win pretty easily.
