Default Speedometer jumps

Working on my daughters 95 Mustang convertible, V6 automatic.

The speedometer jumps around, sometimes it doesn't work at all, then will jump up and work fine for a few minutes, then drops to zero.

I changed the speed sensor at the tranny, the gear on it looked fine, no chipped or broken teeth.

Your thoughts?

Default RE: Speedometer jumps

Just a guess maybe the speedo gauge maybe worn out or loose, May have to take off the clear plastic cluster see if the speed pin is loose.

Good Luck
