did anyone ever say that it will make a car fast by itself? i think not.

but it IS a good starting ground. mods are additive and are dependent upon each other. it may not do much on a stock engine, but after you fix up that engine with other stuff, my best bet would be after a port n polish, go back and check the gains on that intake... i bet you it will have increased.

facts are in order.

CAI's do not improve throttle response at all. you just hear it more making you think the response is faster
CAI's don't give more HP than removing the silencer and adding a K&N and you can also cut the factory MAF screen out
CAI's are not a worthwhile mod unless it's an EBAY $40one. $150+ for one is just plain stupid.
CAI's do not really support other mods any more than the factory airbox modded like i described.
CAI's may have an appealing appearance to some but i would rather look completely stock than have a CAI

also to the guy that said K&N's use so much oil that they restrict airflow is retarded. a Clogged K&N after 50,000 miles will out flow a fram Paper filter so how in the hell does a new one restrict flow. any excess oil in the filter is quickly sucked out of the filter by the engine.


basically if you want to wast money on a CAI cause you like the looks then go for it but it does nothing for power or performance over a moddedstock box
