Heres an idea, sell the six and put the 9 grand twoards a gt. That right there is your best bet
SELL IT AND GET A GT... well thats just not an option, this car already has about 5k put into it and I dont want to pay for v8 insurance just for the badge

not only do I not want to get a v8 for insurance reasons but also because of the work done to this one would all be a waste and simply put, its so much more fun to see the look on someones face when you beat their gt in a 6.

I have to agree with BlackStang.

Besides a GT is but no means the ultimate, who is to say your going to be happy with that. There is only so fast you can/should go one the road and since most people in this section don't have track numbers, I'll assume that they don't go there so what the point of having some monster engine if your not gonna use it.

Just drop a small v8 in your car.. Find a parts stang that was hit HARd in the rear.. get the computer harness tranny motor and front suspension from them.. that'll prolly be what, 2000-2500 from a parts car? Then buy a 8.8 diff with a DTT and 3.73's and roll with it.

even if he did get the gt and had $ left over to pay insurance for a year what happens when that year is up? yea he might have saved a little but he might have other expenses. and insurance for a new edge gt for me is more like 60-80 more per month

if this car ever goes to the track it will not be a very common thing, not that i dont want to eventually but I dont want to put that kind of stress on everything if i can afford to replace the car almost entirly if something goes bad, besides this is my college fun car that I want to work on and build up, not just sell it out and start over. i understand the v8 has more to offer up front but seeing as the blue book for my car when i bought it was 15k and ive almost doubled the milage since i might be able to get 10 if im really really lucky and thats just not worth it to start over on imo atleast.

Get 4-wheel drive and 6 inch lift with some Mickey Thompsons. Maybe a brush gaurd, an external roll cage with 4 fog lights on top, and don't forget a winch. lol Just kidding of course.

Do you want to build it up yourself or have everything installed? Just asking because they have good built engines at ssm.
