Default Spark plug problem

I recently posted about my car turning over, but not firing. It turned out to be my spark plugs.. I just put 3 new ones in today to see if they would work, and itfired justfine. My question starts here: there was a fairly large build up of gunk on my spark plugs, and I just replaced them not 4 months ago.. Where could this be coming from? I'm sure it's a gasket leak of some sort, but, I'm trying to figure out which gasket exactly of course.

pretty dark brown almost black, and pretty viscous.. I didn't go as far to smell it, but I would assume it's a combination of gasoline and oil

I can't remember off the top of my head, but you could be running a rich air/fuel mixture. I'd have to check my engines book, but that's all the way downstairs, and you know...downstairs is not within my reach.
