False cats??
I have a MAC catless H-pipe (waiting on the catback . . .) and i've heard a few of our members say that police have visually inspected their exhaust for cats if they think it's too loud.
My question is: Would it be possible to fake some cats on to the catless pipe, as in hollow the stock ones out and attach the shell to the pipe so it looks like ther're still functional?

The copsrarely do visual inspections... I mean what are they gonna do for an old muscle car that doesnt hvae to do emissions? I think thats Either B.S. or the cops were just lookin to meet their ticket quota.
Cops are basically criminals with badges. Think about it, ever see one doing the speed limit? I personally have reported 3 for running people off the road, wreckless driving, and speeding. I know several and even when they are in their POV if they get pulled over they flip out their badge and away they go. In my 40+ years of life I have never seen them do anything but hassle people. Currently there are 5 under felony endictment in my 3 county area for everything from murder/assault, drug sales, and bribery. Maybe it is just my area, but they way I hear it from friends around the country cops are basically arrogant and obviously cannot read nor understand the sticker on their car that says protect and serve. So I say unless you have emissions laws do not bother with the cats. Besides it would be worth the ticket to see one crawl under my ride to look...
Here is a link to find the law concerning your state for emissions.
