Alright guys...im new to the fourms...im only 16...i have a 2000 3.8 w/ short throw shifter,cold air intake, and high flow cats,and flowmaster 40's. ijust took the car into the shop because of a knocking noise comming from the motor. The mechanic says my cam has a worn lobe. does anyone know what causes that?

 

It might have something to do with your heads, like sticky lifters holding down a pushrod maybe..
