Default Revving low

Hey, I have a '03 V6 and I'm having this thing happen where sometimes when it will idle very low like about 500-550 rpm to the point where the engine lugs. I haven't been able to determine what exact situations it will do this in, so far it just seems random. Why would it be doing this? Should I be worried? Any other thoughts?
