Default scoop ?

So I bought a hood scoop and when I got it I found that the holes in the grill were drilled out.
I'm nervous that after I install it and and drive it on the highway the air getting caught up through the drilled out holes will rip the scoop off?
So what should I do, make the scoop functional and cut into my hood? Or just leave it and not worry about it flying off.

If it was up to me, i wouldnt take the trouble of drilling all the way through the hood, or turning it into a ram air. If i was really that worried about it rippin off, i would cover the back up with some flat plastic/board

you shouldnt ahve to worry about it ripping off man. its bolted on my 7 studs. it should be fine. if your really worried though you could drill 4 or so holes where the old honeycomb was. do it about halfway up. that way you dont have to worry about water or anything and it will let some of the pressure out. but like i said before. it should be fine.

Before you install it get a piece of tin or aluminum and cut it to fit, paint it black and attach it inside the scoop.
